The Roland SH-101 may be compact, but there is still plenty happening beneath its control panel. Its internal foam gaskets help reduce the amount of dust, dirt and debris entering through the openings around the sliders, switches and rotary controls.

Why replace the original foam gaskets?

After decades of use and storage, the original foam can become compressed, brittle or begin to disintegrate. Once it deteriorates, it provides less protection and can leave loose fragments inside the instrument.

This newly manufactured replacement gasket set has been developed specifically for the SH-101. It replaces the ageing originals with clean, model-specific parts and is a sensible addition while the synth is already open for servicing, repair or restoration.

The supplied gaskets will need to be trimmed to size. We've also provided additional gaskets to go on the rotary pots (Volume, Portamento etc).

Fitting and trimming

The supplied gaskets require some trimming to achieve the final fit. Additional circular gaskets are also included for the rotary controls, including Volume and Portamento.
Installation involves opening and partially dismantling the instrument.

If you are not confident working inside electronic equipment, we recommend having the gaskets installed by an experienced synthesiser technician. Disconnect the instrument from its power supply and remove the batteries before beginning work.
