Frequently Asked Questions

About Juno Parts

Juno Parts is a UK-based supplier of carefully remanufactured replacement parts for classic synthesisers. We began with a simple aim: to make small but important parts easier and more affordable to obtain, particularly for synth owners in the UK.

Our first products are replacement buttons and foam gaskets for selected Roland synthesisers, with more parts planned.

Are you connected with Roland?

No. Juno Parts is an independent business and is not affiliated with, authorised by or endorsed by Roland Corporation. Roland, Juno and the relevant model names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify compatibility.

Are your parts new or refurbished?

Unless clearly stated otherwise, our parts are newly manufactured replacements. They are not cleaned-up, repainted or reclaimed original parts.

Where are you based?

Juno Parts is based in London, UK. We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only.

Replacement buttons

Why do Juno buttons need replacing?

The original buttons can become yellowed, discoloured, damaged or lost after decades of use. Cleaning can improve surface dirt, but it cannot always reverse changes within the plastic itself.

Our replacement buttons provide a clean, consistent alternative without having to rely on used parts taken from another instrument.

How are the replacement buttons made?

The buttons are newly injection moulded rather than 3D printed. Injection moulding requires considerable development and tooling, but it produces a more consistent finish and a part that is much closer to the original manufacturing method.

Which synthesiser are the buttons designed for?

Our first replacement buttons are being developed for the Roland Juno-106. Compatibility will always be stated clearly on the individual product page.

Please do not assume that visually similar buttons from different models are interchangeable.

Will the colour exactly match the original buttons?

We have worked carefully to achieve a colour and finish that are sympathetic to the original instrument. However, original buttons can vary because of age, exposure to sunlight, storage conditions and previous cleaning.

For the most consistent appearance, we may recommend replacing a complete group or set rather than mixing new buttons with heavily aged originals.

Are the buttons identical to the originals?

They are designed as faithful replacement parts, with close attention paid to their dimensions, fit, colour and appearance. They are not original Roland parts, and very small differences may be visible under close inspection.

Can I buy individual buttons?

Buttons will be offered in the sets shown on the product page. Individual replacements may also become available, depending on demand and stock levels.

When will the Juno-106 buttons be available?

The buttons are currently in the final stages of development and production. Manufacturing dates can occasionally change, particularly with a new injection-moulded product.

The latest availability information will be published on the website. You can also join our mailing list to be notified when the first production batch is ready.

Can I pre-order the buttons?

If pre-orders are opened, the product page will clearly explain the estimated availability date and when payment will be taken. We will not describe an item as being in stock until it is physically available for dispatch.

Will you make buttons for other synthesisers?

That is certainly the plan. The Juno-106 is our starting point, but we are interested in other classic synthesisers whose cosmetic or mechanical parts are becoming difficult to find.

Suggestions are always welcome, although developing an injection-moulded component requires significant demand to justify the design and tooling costs.

Foam gaskets

What does a synthesiser foam gasket do?

The gasket sits around or beneath the instrument’s controls and helps reduce the amount of dust, dirt and debris entering through the panel openings. After several decades, the original foam can compress, crumble or disintegrate completely.

Which gasket sets do you offer?

Our initial range includes replacement gasket sets for:

  • Roland Juno-106
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Roland SH-101

Please choose the set made specifically for your instrument, as the shapes and dimensions differ between models.

Why should I replace the original gasket?

A deteriorated gasket may no longer protect the inside of the instrument effectively. Loose pieces of old foam can also break away and find their way into switches, sliders and other internal components.

Replacing it is a sensible job to carry out while an instrument is already open for servicing or restoration.

What are your replacement gaskets made from?

Our gaskets are cut from carefully selected 2mm EVA foam chosen to provide an appropriate fit and degree of compression. The exact specification can be found on the relevant product page.

Are the gaskets self-adhesive?

The product description will state whether a gasket includes an adhesive backing or requires separate fixing. Always check the instructions for your particular set before installation.

Can I fit a gasket myself?

That depends on your experience. Installation requires the synthesiser to be opened and partially dismantled. If you are not comfortable working inside electronic equipment, we recommend asking an experienced synthesiser technician to fit it.

Always disconnect the instrument from the mains before opening it. Juno Parts cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by incorrect installation.

Do the gaskets come with fitting instructions?

Where appropriate, fitting guidance will be supplied with the product or made available on the website. The instructions should be read fully before starting work.

They are intended as guidance rather than a substitute for the relevant service manual or professional experience.

Ordering and availability

Are products kept in stock?

We aim to keep our standard products in stock, but we are a small specialist business and some items are produced in batches. The product page will show whether an item is available, out of stock or open for pre-order.

How quickly will my order be dispatched?

Our standard processing time for in-stock orders is one business day before handover to the carrier. Business days exclude weekends and public holidays. Any different dispatch arrangement, including a pre-order date, will be identified before purchase.

Processing time is separate from delivery time. See our Shipping policy.

Can repairers or retailers place trade orders?

We welcome enquiries from synthesiser technicians, repair workshops and specialist retailers. Trade availability and pricing will depend on the product and quantity required.

Please contact us with details of the parts and approximate quantities you are interested in.

Can I request a part that you do not currently make?

Yes. We cannot promise to manufacture every suggested part, but requests help us understand where the greatest need exists.

When contacting us, please include the synthesiser model, the part required and—if possible—a photograph showing the problem.

Shipping and delivery

Where do you deliver?

We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only. We are not currently accepting orders for international delivery.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is calculated according to the destination, parcel size and delivery service. The available options and full cost will be shown at checkout before you pay.

Where possible, smaller products will be packed efficiently to avoid unnecessarily expensive postage.

Will my order include tracking?

Tracking depends on the delivery service selected at checkout. If tracking is included, the details will be emailed once the order has been dispatched.

How long does delivery take?

The available delivery services and estimates are shown at checkout. Our standard in-stock processing time is one business day before handover to the carrier; delivery time is additional. Choosing a faster service does not shorten processing time.

See our Shipping policy for details.

Do you charge VAT?

We are not VAT registered and do not charge VAT. Prices are in pounds sterling, and any delivery charge is shown before payment. We currently deliver within the UK only.

Returns and support

What if I order the wrong part?

Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change an order. You can cancel before delivery, or notify us of a change-of-mind cancellation within 14 days after receiving the goods, with a further 14 days to return them.

You pay return postage for a change of mind. See our Return and refund policy for the full details.

What if my order arrives damaged or incomplete?

Contact hello@junoparts.co.uk with your order number and a description of the problem. Photographs can help but are not a condition of your statutory rights. Please retain damaged packaging where practical.

We will investigate and arrange an appropriate solution, covering reasonable return costs for faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods.

Can I return a part after attempting to install it?

Fitting a part does not automatically remove your cancellation rights or your rights concerning a fault present when supplied. Handling beyond what is necessary to inspect a part may reduce its value, and a permitted deduction may apply to a change-of-mind refund.

Check compatibility before fitting. See our Return and refund policy for details.

What should I do if I am unsure which part I need?

Get in touch before ordering. Please tell us the exact model of your instrument and, where helpful, include a photograph. We would much rather help you identify the correct product than have you order something unsuitable.

How can I hear about new products?

Join the Juno Parts mailing list or follow our social channels for production news, restocks and new product announcements.

We will only email when there is something worth sharing—no unnecessary whooshing, although we cannot promise the same about squelching.
