Restore your Juno 106 Factory Banks
We show you how to restore the factory banks on your Juno 106. There's also a great video on Instagram you can follow along with here.
Get yourself a copy of the Bank data files (these are WAV files hosted on Google Drive, so download them).
BANK A - BANK B
Make sure the MEMORY PROTECT switch on the back panel of the 106 is OFF.
Step 1
Load the WAV files into your DAW, or another application capable of playing WAV files.
Step 2
Connect your computer audio output to the CASSETTE LOAD jack on the 106.
Step 3
Press the A or B Bank button, whichever one you want to load.
Step 4
Press the LOAD button on the panel. All the panel lights will go out except the light over the LOAD button.
Play the WAV file. Make sure the volume is about 80%.
When it finishes loading, the panel lights will come back on.
Step 5
If you want, you can check the load for errors. Press the VERIFY button and play the WAV file again. If “Er” appears in the display, there was an error. Do the load again.
Once verified, repeat the same process for the second bank.
Remember to set the memory protect back to ON.
