Restore your Juno 106 Factory Banks
Get yourself a copy of the Bank data files (these are WAV files hosted on my Google Drive, so download them)
Make sure the MEMORY PROTECT switch on the back panel of the 106 is OFF.
Step 1
Load the WAV files into your DAW, or something else that you can use to play the files (you can play them straight from the Finder (MacOS) but you may have more control if you pop them in an application).
Step 2
Connect your computer audio output to the CASSETTE LOAD jack on the 106. We used a 1/4” mono to 1/8" mono from Amazon UK [Affiliate link].
Step 3
Press the A or B Bank button, whichever one you want to load. (The patch number doesn't matter; it will load the entire bank group regardless).
Step 4
Press the LOAD button on the panel. All the panel lights will go out except the light over the LOAD button.
Play the WAV file. Make sure the volume is about 80%.
When it finishes loading, the panel lights will come back on.
Step 5
f you want, you can check the load for errors. Press the VERIFY button and play the WAV file again. If "Er" appears in the display, there was an error. Do the load again.
Once verified do the same for the second bank, and you're good to go.
Remember to set the memory protect back to ON.
